An iconic jacket worn by the US Navy from the 1930's to the 1940's, the Deck Jumper was a classic piece of utilitarian workwear used for hands-on work in the galley and beyond. With a roomy fit and handsome shawl collar, it’s a versatile piece that looks good both on and off the decks.

We crafted our interpretation of this USN classic from a 10 oz. indigo-dyed selvedge fabric woven in Japan on vintage Imamura looms. A faithful reproduction of a pre-1930s quality, this fabric facilitates a traditional drape and ease of movement whilst aging gracefully. Loaded with nep that provides a grainy pop amongst the deep indigo, this uniquely-textured fabric will fade into a palette of rich blues and chalky whites.

Each Deck Jumper is hand-made in our Brighton workshop and finished with fully felled seams, authentic change buttons, and indigo-dyed Japanese Kasuri pocket linings.
